Building Bridges is an open, respectful, safe space for white women to explore questions, concerns, and confusions around difficult issues of race, prejudice, and privilege as a first step towards ending discrimination in our community.
This event is held in the white anti-racist affinity group format based on the principles and guidance of AWARE-LA and SURJ racial justice organizations in preparation for future multi-racial community dialogues at Pura Luna.
We'll cover some vocabulary and distinction, have space to ask questions, and share resources and action steps for moving forward powerfully.
Let's show up to support the people of color in our community by taking a look at our own blind spots and building the confidence and capacity to make real change. Message me with questions.

In every moment, there are choices. Some more subtle than others.
To bring intention and conscious awareness to those choices, with responsibility for their impact, is empowerment.
We must allow the unconscious to become conscious before we can have choice, before we can be personally empowered.
And that takes courage.
And clear mirrors to see our own reflection.
And feedback from others to see our blind spots.
And support to be held, cared for, and guided in what may arise from the dark unconscious corners.
I’m grateful for you, my community, that has held me through some darkness recently.
And now, from a place of overflow, I’m grateful to do the same for you ♥️ #healing #thriving #lovewins #imhereforit #community #evolution #wegotthis
As women, most of us received very little education about our bodies.
For many of us our monthly cycles are painful and confusing, fertility a total mystery, and hormones esoteric and overwhelming to grasp.
We're also in a time when gynecology prescribes birth control for almost everybody as a solution to a vast range of symptoms. Our doctors (often aggressively) push it on us as the only option, despite the fact that many of us experience terrible side affects and it has us feeling out of touch and out of sync with ourselves.
Ashe and I are offering this free community class to demystify some basics of menstruation and fertility, to empower you with knowledge and options, and to share our own personal stories of healing.
If you're struggling with painful PMS, periods, pills and IUDs, you don't have to. In fact, it's critical to your health and wellbeing that you don't. Bring a sister and we'll see you there!

Once again my heart is blasted open by this work, this connection, this community. The Bridge is not just a workshop, it’s an immersive experience of authentic expression, connection, and play. It’s a life lab where we get to dismantle and rebuild, alchemize, see, be seen, and remember who we are behind the masks and walls. Love you big Bridge fam ♥️ ✌🏼 thanks for all the magic✨ (P.S. We’ll be back to LA in October, stay in touch for details friends!!) #soulfam #community #thebridgeexperience #iamthebridge
Everything makes sense in nature. When I open my heart and trust, everything makes sense in me too. .
Once again, I remember to give up the illusion of control, and just breathe
Nourish what makes you feel confident, connected, contented; opportunity will rise to meet you.
You guys, my kitten died this week 💔😭 I’ve had a lot of pets in my day, but this loss feels particularly sad. And, of course, comes at a time when life is asking me to embrace death, and know grief intimately.
For any of y’all who have experienced the depths of grief -you are so strong. I think of you who have lost a parent, a sibling, a partner, a dear best friend and acknowledge the strength of your heart and soul.
The last two years have taught me so much about letting go, the importance of mourning, the deep emotional roots that come from allowing ourselves to feel loss and sorrow all the way to the core. Not to create suffering, but to know truth, know for real the temporal nature of this life, and emerge more resilient and wise than before 🦋 RIP Beija bei, my tiny friend.
Building Bridges is happening again next Tuesday 5/28 6-8pm @puralunaapothecary. This is a place for white women to build capacity for uncomfortable conversations and dialogue about how we can actively work to end discrimination in our community. Message me with questions. #theresworktodo
